Canepa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Matthew Canepa (Ph.D. University of Chicago) teaches in the Department of Art History at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. His research focuses on the intersection of art, ritual, and power in ancient Iran and the Mediterranean. His recent publications include <i>Theorizing Cross Cultural Interaction Among the Ancient and Early Medieval Mediterranean, Near East and China<\/i> (Washington, D.C. 2010) and <i>The Two Eyes of the Earth: Art and Ritual of Kingship Between Rome and Sasanian Iran<\/i> (Berkeley and Los Angeles 2009).
