Justin Leidwanger is an associate professor in the Department of Classics at Stanford University and faculty at the Stanford Archaeology Center. His work explores Mediterranean mobilities, systems of exchange, and the long-term dynamics of communities situated amid economically, socially, and politically changing worlds from the rise of Rome through late antiquity and beyond.
