Hollinshead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mary Hollinshead is professor of art history at the University of Rhode Island. She received her Ph.D. in classical and Near Eastern archaeology and Greek from Bryn Mawr College and has excavated at sites in Italy, Cyprus, and Greece and explored the deep sea bed of the south Aegean. Her book <em>Shaping Ceremony: Monumental Steps and Greek Architecture<\/em> (Madison 2015) treats human behavior in relation to Greek architecture. She has also written about Greek temples, Aegean painting, and processes of Roman sculpture.
