Daniel Calderbank is a British Academy postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Glasgow. He is an archaeologist and ceramicist researching the role of craft traditions in early Mesopotamian states. His research focuses especially on how acts of pottery production, use, and discard intersected with the emergence and maintenance of political power.
