Assaf Kleiman is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Archaeology and Ancient Near Eastern Cultures at Tel Aviv University. His dissertation examines the settlement history and material culture of the borderlands between Israel and Aram in the Iron I-II (ca. 1150-750 BCE), with a focus on the ceramic evidence.
