He has worked as a postdoctoral researcher at both the University of Leiden and the National Hellenic Research Foundation, and as a field archaeologist with the Hellenic Archaeological Service. Currently, he is a Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cyprus, where he is studying the distribution of gladiatorial and related spectacles in the Roman east. His research interests span Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman history and archaeology, with a particular focus on the eastern Mediterranean, especially Greece.
