Sarah E. Beckmann is an assistant professor in the Department of Classics and the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology at the University of California in Los Angeles. She received her B.A. from Carleton College and her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in the Art and Archaeology of the Mediterranean world. Her research is focused broadly on domestic art and archaeology in the Roman Empire and late antiquity, with special attention to villas and luxury arts (sculpture, painting), and the reception of these objects across social classes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-3540","authors","type-authors","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"\nSarah E.
