Rodney Ast is a Senior Research and Teaching Associate in the Institute for Papyrology at the University of Heidelberg. His main areas of interest are papyrology and epigraphy; the cultural and social history of Greco-Roman Egypt; Egyptian archaeology; and digital papyrology. He has edited several books and numerous articles concerned with Greek and Latin papyrological and inscriptional texts from Roman Egypt and North Africa.
